To commemorate the 16th birthday of one of the bravest girls in the world and mark the world’s first ever UN-designated Malala Day, we joined A World At School and PlanUK at the Southbank Centre on July 12th, to witness Malala make her first global address at the UN in New York.

“Malala Day is not my day. Today is the day of every woman, every boy and every girl who have raised their voice for their rights.”
Malala Youzafzai

Thank you to everyone who sent a message of support to the Stand With Malala campaign, and in so doing, helped us highlight every child’s right to an education!

If you missed Malala’s stirring call-to-action, you can see it below or read it in full HERE.

And don’t forget to sign and share A World At School’s petition and PlanUK’s petitions calling on the UN Secretary General to make girls education a global priority TODAY!
