PROTEST AGAINST RADISSON HOTELS

On Sunday 22nd September, we joined London Feminist Network to protest against XBIZ EU – a pornography industry conference which is taking place at the Radisson Bloomsbury Hotel, London, from September 22-25th. Here, representatives will be discussing ways of spreading their toxic pornographic content onto more accessible devices.

WHY DID WE PROTEST?

Because:
1. Pornography degrades women.
2. It puts women involved in the making of it at high risk of physical and psychological damage .
3. It can give the men, women, boys and girls who watch it a harmful view of women and relationships and can also lead to addiction.
4. It can encourage male violence against women.
5. We’re also questioning how a major hotel can play host to an industry that uses women’s bodies to make vast amounts of money!

RESULTS

The protest (and one of our photos!) was features by The Metro and scheduled to appear in The Evening Standard. A number of organisations are now also boycotting Radisson Hotels.
