As well as working on the ground to aid women and services directly, it has never been more important to make sure our CRIES FOR JUSTICE AND EQUALITY are heard by all levels of our collective society.
Since our inception, Making Herstory has been working hard to identify and work alongside agencies campaigning against those practices in our social, political and legal spheres which contribute to the ongoing violence, sexism and human rights abuses suffered by women and girls every day.
Once a campaign or agency has been identified, we endeavour to:
- Mobilise supporters to participate in actions e.g. signing petitions, taking part in demonstrations, writing to / meeting with MP’s;
- Lobby key stakeholders to raise awareness of issues and ensure further actions;
- Keep abreast of legal changes and opportunities to develop and improve services and infrastructures for the benefit of women and girls’ equal human rights; and
- Submit our own findings and recommendations to key parties.
